The body of Alexei Navalny was handed over to his mother

It is reported that Lyudmila Navalnaya was given the body of her son Alexei.

“The funeral is still ahead. We don’t know whether the authorities will interfere with holding it the way the family wants it and as Alexey deserves. We will report information as it becomes available,” the Navalny Team telegram channel reports.

The message states that he died in the colony after a walk. The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation organized a procedural investigation into the death of the oppositionist.

On February 19, investigators told Alexei’s lawyers and mother that they would not release the body.

Lyudmila Navalnaya reported that the investigator threatened her to “do something with her son’s body” if she refused a secret funeral.
