The Australian Navy is offering recruits without experience a job on a nuclear submarine for 120,000 Australian dollars ($75,000).
This is reported by the Australian edition of 9news.
A job ad posted on the Seek website invites school-leavers, students and people of any profession to apply for the position of an officer serving on a nuclear submarine.
The full-time position is offered for 100,000 to 120,000 Australian dollars (62,000 to 75,000 American dollars) and the duty station is in Melbourne.
The duties of Navy nuclear submarine officers include ship management, nuclear reactor operation, and tactical deployment of the vessel.
Candidates for service must undergo basic military and labor training, as well as sports testing and a medical examination, the publication specifies.
In June this year, Australia announced that it was expanding military recruitment by drafting citizens from other countries in an attempt to boost troop numbers.
Citizens of countries participating in the Five Eyes intelligence-sharing partnership who are permanent residents of Australia are eligible to join the Australian army.
