Pavel Durov, the founder of Telegram, announced new measures to combat illegal content in the social network.
With the help of AI, the work of the search engine in the messenger was changed so that it would not be used to sell illegal goods.
And illegal content found on the site was seized.
Telegram also changed its terms of service and Privacy Policy.
Now, IP addresses and phone numbers that violate the rules can be disclosed to relevant authorities around the world in response to reasonable legal requests.
“Search on Telegram is designed to find friends and news, not to promote illegal goods,” Durov said.
