Swiss John Neidhart, who fought against Russian troops on the side of Ukrainian forces for two years, was arrested in Bern.
This is reported by the Swiss publication Blick.

However, according to the laws of Switzerland, it is forbidden for men to be military anywhere but the Swiss army.
On June 14, he surrendered to police in Bern; he did so on the eve of the Peace Summit to be held in Switzerland.
He reportedly did it on purpose to draw attention to the war and to help Ukraine win on the battlefield.
“If you really want to help Ukraine, you have to enable it to defeat the Russians militarily. You have to break the Russians first before you can negotiate with them, not the other way around,” Neidhart said.
He also very sharply criticized his government for its extremely small and limited aid to Ukraine.
Other Swiss citizens are known to be fighting in the ranks of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, but their names have not been announced so as not to expose them to problems at home.
The military man Jonah Neidhart has become the only one who has publicly announced his service in Ukraine. According to the law, he faces three years in prison.
Earlier, it was reported that Putin again set his ridiculous conditions for ending the war in Ukraine.
