Starlink could pose a threat to US national security
Starlink by Elon Musk may pose a threat to the national security of the United States. This is reported by The Washington Post with reference to its sources.
According to journalists of the publication, Musk’s team at the DOGE agency installed Starlink in the White House complex.
It was installed without prior approval from communications specialists, which raised concerns about potential threats.
A Wi-Fi network called “Starlink Guest” appeared on employees’ phones that only required a password – no username or two-factor authentication.
According to the newspaper’s interlocutors, such a thing is contrary to White House standards, where even guest access is strictly controlled.
At the same time, the Secret Service said it was aware of Musk’s team’s plans and does not consider the installation of Starlink a violation of security rules.
Such information began to appear after the public conflict between Donald Trump and Elon Musk broke out.
