Star Wars helmet sold for $410k
Old movie props can fetch good money. At least if it was used on the set of cult movies.
One of the Stormtrooper helmets seen in the first Star Wars, released back in 1977, was sold at auction and made good money on it.
Stormtrooper helmet, for which gave at once $410 thousand, was just one of the 1800 lots sold at a special auction dedicated to artifacts from the world of cinema.
This interesting event lasted four days and caused quite a stir. This is reported by the edition of The Sun.
In particular, the helmet and mask of the hero Russell Crowe in the first Gladiator sold for $157 thousand.
Red leather jacket, in which Michael Jackson appeared during the tour Thriller, purchased for $240 thousand.
A Tom Hanks baseball cap from Forrest Gump went for $75,000.
Among other lots was a hat of Jack Sparrow (Captain Jack Sparrow!) from “Pirates of the Caribbean” ($26 thousand).
Also sold a sweater with reindeer hero Colin Firth in “Bridget Jones’s Diary” ($7 thousand).
