SpaceX launches Crew Dragon spacecraft

SpaceX has launched the Crew Dragon spacecraft, which will enter polar orbit for the first time.

The launch took place as part of Fram2, a private manned mission with an entirely civilian crew.

It will spend three to five days in space and will land off the coast of California when returning to Earth.

CNN reminds us that only one ship has come closer to the poles than others – the Soviet Vostok 6 in 1963.

However, it flew at an inclination angle of 65 degrees.

Whereas Crew Dragon will aim for 90 degrees, that is, to a position strictly perpendicular to the equator.
