Scientists will test a brain implant that can help boost mood with ultrasound.
The study, funded by the British Agency for Advanced Research and Invention (Aria), will involve 30 patients.
They will be monitored for three and a half years. About it, writes The Guardian.
In Aria noted that for the experiment, scientists selected people with brain injury.
The chip will be placed in a hollow in the scalp, so patients will not even need surgery.
It is noted that the device developed by the American non-profit organization Forest Neurotech.
It uses ultrasound to read and change the activity of several areas of the brain simultaneously.
Experts believe that such a chip in the future will help people with depressive disorders, addictions, OCD and epilepsy.
