The Presidential Greatness Project expert-scientific survey has published a new rating of US presidential greatness.
To do this, respondents had to rate the sense of greatness of each president on a scale from zero to 100, where zero is a complete failure of the presidency, 50 is the average, and 100 is the greatest.
The first place is occupied by Abraham Lincoln, with a result of 95.03 points. He is followed by Franklin Roosevelt (90.83), George Washington (90.32), Teddy Roosevelt (78.58), and Thomas Jefferson (77.53).
The top ten also includes Presidents Truman, Obama, Eisenhower, Lyndon B. Johnson, and Kennedy.
Current US President Joe Biden currently ranks 14th. And in the last position is the 45th President, Donald Trump.
In the previous ranking conducted in 2018, Trump was in the penultimate place.
Previously, James Buchanan, who led the country in 1857–1861, was considered the worst president in the history of the United States.
He remained known for his indecision, which led to a split between the south and the north. Now he is in the penultimate place, ahead of Trump.
The Presidential Greatness Project 2024 survey was conducted among current and former members of the American Political Science Association.
Scientists who have recently published research in key scientific journals and academic publications also participated in the survey.
