Russian authorities announced the death of opposition leader Alexei Navalny in prison.
The Department of the Federal Penitentiary Service for the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug said that the Russian oppositionist died in a correctional colony.
It is reported that “all the necessary measures were carried out on him, but they did not give positive results.”
