Briton Russ Cook became the first person in history to run across Africa.
Russ Cook started on April 22, 2023 from the southernmost point of South Africa, Cape Agulhas. The race took the athlete 352 days to complete.
However, several trials awaited him on the route: in Angola, Cook was robbed of money, documents and equipment.
And in the Democratic Republic of Congo in one of the villages briefly captured and tried to rob again.
In total, Russ ran 16 thousand kilometers and crossed the borders of 16 countries.
