Putin has voiced the Kremlin’s official proposals to end the war with Ukraine.
In order for the process to start, the Russian dictator demands that Ukraine withdraw its troops from the Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions.
Also, one of Putin’s main demands is Ukraine’s refusal to join NATO.
The next conditions announced by Putin concern the negotiation process itself. They are as follows:
Ukraine’s neutral, non-aligned, non-nuclear status, its “demilitarization and denazification.”
Agreements on a peaceful settlement should imply the lifting of all sanctions against Russia.
He said that Russia’s new borders (with occupied Crimea, Donbass, Zaporozhye and Kherson) should be fixed by international treaties.
Putin also said that Russia is making another real peace proposal, but if the West and Kyiv refuse, they will be responsible for the bloodshed.
The president of the aggressor country made such a proposal a day before the opening of the summit on the Ukrainian peace formula in Switzerland.
Apparently, the Kremlin wants to make sure that these statements become the main topic of the meeting rather than Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s peace formula.
