Putin is being demanded to be prosecuted under the article on the rehabilitation of Nazism

It is reported that a representative of the Committee-2024 association, Sergei Antonov, appealed to the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation with a demand to bring Russian President Vladimir Putin under the article on the rehabilitation of Nazism.

The basis was Putin’s interview with American journalist Tucker Carlson, in which the head of the Russian state spoke about the events of World War II.

During the interview, Putin said that “the Poles got too carried away and forced Hitler to start World War II.”

These statements became the basis for Antonov’s appeal to the Investigative Committee, since, in his opinion, they contain “denial of the facts established by the verdict of the International Military Tribunal for the trial and punishment of the main war criminals of the European Axis countries, approval of the crimes established by the said verdict.”

Antonov admitted that the article on the rehabilitation of Nazism is often used for politically motivated purposes, but noted that the words of the President of the Russian Federation fall within its wording.

He also claims that Putin “committed this crime under aggravating circumstances” by disseminating information “using his official position” and through “the media or information and telecommunications networks.”

The politician notes that his application has already been registered and he is awaiting a reaction from the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation.
