Polish farmers open Ukrainian grain trucks to let the wheat spill out
It is reported that Polish farmers who are protesting at the Yagodin-Dorogusk customs checkpoint are opening Ukrainian grain trucks so that wheat can spill out of them.
Ukrainian drivers publish videos on social networks.
“They cut off locks and customs seals with an angle grinder, and three tons of grain spill out of each car,” the Ukrainians say in the videos.
This information was confirmed by the Polish police.
The incident occurred around 11:30 Polish time on the highway leading to the Dorogusk checkpoint.
A local police spokesman said that three trucks driven by Ukrainians entered Poland, but Polish protesters did not allow them to continue.
After the trailers were opened by Polish protesters, some of the grain began to spill onto the road. The drivers turned back towards Ukraine, there were no fights or dangerous situations after that.
Polish law enforcement officers are finding out all the details of the incident and seizing evidence.
The materials will be sent to the prosecutor’s office for legal and criminal legal examination.
“We are conducting an investigation, establishing the personal information of the people involved, and interviewing witnesses,” said a police spokeswoman.
