It has been reported that a passenger ferry collided with a cargo ship in the Bosphorus.
The incident occurred on the Besiktas-Yusufdar route in the Bosphorus Strait. The passenger ship collided with a Panamanian-flagged cargo ship in the evening.
As a result of the collision, 12 people on board the passenger ship were injured. All the victims were taken to nearby hospitals.
After the accident, both ships were moved outside the shipping lane of the strait. An investigation into the incident has been launched. The captains have been detained.
Coast Guard and coastal security units were dispatched to the scene.
