South Korea says that the DPRK has undermined the roads that connect North Korea with the South.
This is reported by the agency Yonhap with reference to the South Korean military.
We are talking about sections of two highways in the west and east of the country.
“North Korea blew up sections of the Kyonggi and Tonghae roads north of the military demarcation line around noon,” the agency quotes the South Korean General Staff.
Authorities in the southern part of the peninsula reported that North Korea was preparing to blow up roads as early as yesterday.
Pyongyang said that, because of the threat of a South Korean attack, they plan to close all roads and railroads leading to the south.
North Korean state media said Kim Jong-un held a meeting with military and security officials.
At which point he heard reports of a “serious provocation of sovereignty violation” and a plan for retaliatory military action.
Earlier, Pyongyang accused Seoul of launching drones in the direction of North Korea.
