New Yorkers Spot Mysterious Objects in the Sky
Three unidentified glowing objects performing synchronized maneuvers were spotted in the sky over New York, according to the Daily Mail.
Charlie Correa, a resident of Queens, witnessed the mysterious celestial phenomenon. He managed to capture the event on video. The incident occurred around 8:30 p.m. local time.
At first, the eyewitness mistook the bright dot high in the sky for a meteor or a shooting star. However, in the next moment, two more glowing objects appeared next to the first one, which began to purposefully follow the “leader.”
The video footage clearly shows how the white lights change course, suddenly hover near houses, and then abruptly accelerate.
The author of the video himself suggested that they might have been modern unmanned aerial vehicles, although their movement patterns and maneuverability struck him as highly atypical for civilian or military drones.
The publication of the footage on social media sparked a heated debate among users, who began sharing similar stories of sightings in other regions of the U.S.
Residents of Ohio and Texas reportedly observed similar light anomalies. This gave rise to a theory about a large-scale extraterrestrial visit or a violation of U.S. state airspace by unidentified craft.
Skeptical commentators and experts have put forward more down-to-earth explanations. Given that the filming location is less than three kilometers from the large LaGuardia Airport, the lights could have been from aircraft coming in to land or test flights of drones.
Experts also point to the possibility of optical illusions caused by certain atmospheric conditions, but there is still no definitive confirmation of the nature of these objects.
