Deputy Chairman of the Liberal Party of Norway Abid Raja nominated NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg for the Nobel Peace Prize.
This was reported by the Norwegian publication VG.
“Jens Stoltenberg worked intensively for peace in Europe, working hard to reduce conflict and promote unity among the countries of the region. Few people have contributed more to peace in the world over the past year than Stoltenberg,” said the Norwegian parliamentarian.
He added that Stoltenberg forced many world leaders to change their views, he managed to create change processes from the US to Turkey and achieved significant results.
In addition, Stoltenberg was uncompromising in the face of totalitarianism, and the Stoltenberg Prize would be fully consistent with Alfred Nobel’s will, Raja believes.
“Stoltenberg traveled to Turkey, the UK, the USA and a number of other countries, trying to hold negotiations that could stop the war in Ukraine,” emphasized the deputy chairman of the Norwegian Liberal Party.
He also noted that he is proud to be Norwegian, seeing Stoltenberg on the world stage.
