American inventor and billionaire Elon Musk has suspended the creation of a new political party.
Musk allegedly does not want to take votes away from the Republican Party, Reuters writes, citing its sources,
One of the main factors in the decision of the entrepreneur is his desire to maintain good relations with Vice President J.D. Vance.
According to journalists, Musk is considering using his financial resources to support Vance if he decides to run for president of the States in 2028.
However, Musk’s allies claim that he has not officially given up on creating a new party. The billionaire may change his mind as the midterm elections approach.
In July, Elon Musk filed paperwork to register his own party called the Party of America.
On this, Donald Trump said that the third party, if created by the billionaire, would not interfere with either the US president personally or the Republicans.
