It became known that the U.S. Congress wants to check Elon Musk and employees of DOGE for drugs. This is reported by Axios.
The agency writes that the corresponding bill for consideration was introduced to Congresswoman Democrat Micky Sherrill.
They quoted a Wall Street Journal report from 2024, which claimed that Musk allegedly used drugs, in particular LSD, cocaine, ecstasy, mushrooms and ketamine.
Musk’s lawyers claimed at the time that the businessman regularly and randomly undergoes drug testing at SpaceX and has never failed a single test.
The new bill would require special government employees to take a drug test.
The test must take place before starting work and have participated in a random testing program.
If an employee tests positive for certain drugs, they will be removed from federal service for at least a year.
