Viktor Orban’s party disrupted a meeting of the Hungarian Parliament on Sweden’s accession to NATO.
Fidesz deputies did not come to the extraordinary parliamentary meeting, which was initiated by opposition parties.
Telex reports this.
Only 51 out of 199 deputies were present in the hall; there was no quorum.
All this was observed by the present ambassadors of the United States, the Netherlands, Norway, Denmark, Poland and Slovakia.
The Fidesz leader wrote on Facebook two hours before the meeting that Hungary would ratify the agreement when the Swedish Prime Minister arrived in Budapest to meet with Orban.
The opposition accused the country’s authorities of lying and working for the Kremlin.
As is known, Turkey has already ratified Sweden’s entry into NATO, and Hungary remains the last country on which this issue depends.
