Mass riots in Los Angeles
Mass riots continue in Los Angeles, which began after the detention of migrants with the aim of deporting them.
US President Donald Trump had deployed the National Guard there the day before. Local authorities were against it.
Judging by the footage from different days, the confrontation in the streets is no-nonsense – with burning cars, firing rubber bullets, clashes.
In one of the videos, a policeman shoots at a journalist reporting on camera.
Trump in his social media commented on what is happening.
“I am directing that all necessary steps be taken to free Los Angeles from the migrant invasion and end these migrant riots. Order will be restored, illegals will be expelled, and Los Angeles will be free,” he wrote.
Trump also wrote a series of posts where he accused the governor of California and the mayor of Los Angeles of inaction.
Those responded by saying that until the president intervened, “everything was fine.”
