Thousands of people took to the streets of Budapest demanding the resignation of Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán.
Protests erupted in Hungary after opposition leader Peter Magyar released an audio recording of bribery by Orbán’s team.
This is reported by Reuters.
Protesters marched from the Prosecutor General’s Office to the parliament shouting “Resign, resign.”
“Hungarians, thank you… for coming today in thousands… to tell the authorities that we are enough,” Hungarian opposition leader Peter Magyar told the protesters.
Previously, Peter Magyar published a recording of a conversation with Judith Varga, then his wife and Minister of Justice of Hungary.
She described in detail the attempt by Orbán’s chief of staff’s aides to delete some parts of the documents in the bribery case.
Previously, former US President Donald Trump began praising the pro-Russian Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orban at a meeting.
“Orban is the boss. No, he’s a great leader, a fantastic leader,” Trump said.
