An Iranian blogger has been sentenced to 12 years after a post with a dot on social network X.
Blogger Hossein Shanbehzadeh was arrested after his post on the X network with a dot gained more likes than the post of the head of Iran Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
This was reported by Iran International.
The blogger received a sentence on several articles: five years in prison for pro-Israeli propaganda.
Also, four years – for insulting Islamic shrines, two years – for spreading lies about the policy of the authorities and one more – for anti-state propaganda.
The lawyer emphasized that the prosecution did not prove Shanbehzadeh’s guilt under the most serious article.
And only his personal messages were cited as evidence.
