It became known that Iran is ready to immediately sign a nuclear agreement with Trump in exchange for the lifting of economic sanctions.
This was stated to the TV channel NBC News chief adviser to the Supreme Leader of Iran Ali Shamkhani.
He said that Iran pledges never to produce nuclear weapons and get rid of stockpiles of highly enriched uranium.
Iran will agree to enrich uranium only to lower levels needed for civilian use and will allow international inspectors to monitor the process.
But this can only happen in exchange for the immediate lifting of all economic sanctions against Iran.
It is known that Trump is demanding that Iran not enrich uranium at all, even for civilian use, and start importing nuclear fuel.
However, Tehran does not want to concede on this point. The foreign minister said enrichment is an issue Iran will not give up, and there is no room for compromise.
“However, its scope, levels, or volumes may change for a certain period of time to ensure confidence building,” the minister added.
As is known, in early May, US President Donald Trump threatened secondary sanctions on other countries for buying Iranian oil.
