IDF Special Forces captured a high-ranking Hezbollah commander, Imad Amhaz, in a daring raid in the Al-Batroun area.
This was reported by Al Jazeera TV channel.
According to the source, 25 Israeli Marine commandos from the Shayetet 13 unit took part in the raid.
The IDF has not yet commented on this information. The commandos arrived by sea, captured Imad Amhaz in his home, which was located on the shore.
He was taken in rubber boats to the open sea and placed on a boat to be taken to Israel.
Imad Amhaz is a high-ranking commander of Hezbollah’s military unit, responsible for the organization’s armament and naval activities.
There are unconfirmed reports that he has also held command positions in the Lebanese army.
