The Houthis are threatening to cut off the fiber optic cable that runs under the Red Sea if the US and UK strike Yemen again

Houthis threaten to cut fiber optic cable in Red Sea

It became known that the Yemeni Houthis are threatening to cut off the fiber optic cable running along the bottom of the Red Sea.

This will happen if the US and UK once again hit Yemen’s military traffic and airports.

This cable powers communication channels linking Europe, Africa and the Middle East.

If it is disabled, it will affect geopolitical stability, global financial markets and information security.

By the way, more than 99% of the world’s Internet traffic and more than 80% of international telephone lines travel through submarine cables.

As is known, the UK and the US began to strike Houthi military targets in Yemen in response to their attacks. VIDEO
