Google will start powering its artificial intelligence with nuclear energy

It has become known that Google will be the first in the world to start powering its artificial intelligence with nuclear energy.

To accelerate the transition to clean energy in the United States, the world’s first corporate agreement for the purchase of nuclear energy will be signed.

The nuclear energy will be supplied from several Small Modular Reactors (SMRs) to be developed by Kairos Power.

“To accelerate the transition to clean energy in the U.S., we’re signing the world’s first corporate nuclear power purchase agreement,” Google reports

The goal is to reach 500 MW of 24/7 carbon-free energy by 2035.

This clean energy will, among other things, power Artificial Intelligence technologies.
