The meeting on the Ukrainian Peace Summit continues for the second day in Switzerland.
Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni spoke today.
She said that if Russia does not accept peace terms on Ukraine, it will be forced to surrender.
“If the Russian Federation does not accept Ukraine’s terms, we will force them to surrender,” Meloni said.
The Dutch Prime Minister, Mark Rutte, who spoke, said Russia’s absence from the table at the Peace Summit was absolutely the right decision.
“There will be peace when Russia respects international principles and the UN Charter,” Mark Rutte said.
Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis said that peace cannot be the result of Ukrainian capitulation.
“Greece will continue to help Ukraine; peace cannot be the result of Ukrainian capitulation,” Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis said.
The Swedish Deputy Prime Minister, Ebba Bush, who spoke, said his country would review its policy of neutrality.
“Russia’s aggression against Ukraine has forced Sweden to reconsider a policy of neutrality that has lasted 200 years,” said Swedish Deputy Prime Minister Ebba Busch.
80 countries out of 92 participating countries agreed to sign the final declaration of the summit in Switzerland.
According to media reports, the key countries of the Global South that attended the summit refused to sign the declaration.
They are Saudi Arabia, Thailand, India, Mexico, South Africa, Brazil, UAE.
At the same time, Hungary, Serbia, Argentina and Turkey signed the declaration. And Armenia and Slovakia did not sign it.
