Following the 18th meeting in the Ramstein format, German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius announced that Germany will transfer Sea King Mk41 multipurpose military helicopters to Ukraine.
Pistorius’s words are quoted by the DPA agency.
According to the head of the German Ministry of Defense, Ukraine will receive six multipurpose Sea King Mk41 helicopters along with a set of spare parts.
The German side will also provide training for the Ukrainian military.
“Sea King is a proven and reliable helicopter that will help Ukrainians in many areas: from reconnaissance over the Black Sea to transporting soldiers. This is the first German delivery of this type,” Pistorius emphasized.
Earlier, the Pentagon reported that at the Ramstein meeting they could not promise specific military assistance to Ukraine.
