German military arrived in Lithuania

It became known that the first German soldiers arrived in Lithuania to defend against a possible attack of the Russian Federation. This is reported by DW.

The German brigade will be based on a permanent basis as a NATO guarantee. Full deployment is planned by 2027.

It is reported that a total of 4,800 military and 200 civilians from Germany will be deployed in Lithuania.

At the same time, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov has already said that the military presence of Germany in Lithuania will lead to an escalation of tensions.

Also today, it was reported that Britain and the United States have “made progress” on the issue of transferring frozen assets of the Russian Federation to Ukraine.

This was announced by British Foreign Minister David Cameron. According to him, Washington and London will present the draft at the G7 summit in June.
