Former Polish minister Kaminski went on a hunger strike in prison

The former head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Poland, Kamiński, who was sent to a pre-trial detention center, went on a hunger strike and called himself a political prisoner.

His comrade Blazej Pobozhy told reporters about this.

“I declare that I consider my conviction for the fight against corruption and lawless actions to deprive me of my parliamentary mandate as an act of political revenge,” Kaminsky said in a statement.

The Law and Justice Party says Kaminski and his former deputy Vonsik became “the first political prisoners since 1989.”

Party members decided to create the “Committee for the Defense of Political Prisoners,” whose goal is said to be the restoration of democracy.

As you know, in Poland, police detained former Interior Minister Mariusz Kaminski and his deputy Maciej Wonsik at the presidential palace in Warsaw.

Both detainees attended the ceremony of appointing presidential advisers.

When Duda left for a meeting with the leader of the Belarusian opposition, Svetlana Tikhanovskaya, they were detained.
