Vancouver Canucks hockey players won a willful victory over the Dallas Stars in a regular-season NHL match.
They lost in the course of the meeting with a difference of three pucks a minute before the end of the third period.
The game, held in Dallas, ended with the score 6:5 (0:2, 0:1, 5:2, 1:0) in favor of the guests.
With 59 seconds left in the game, the Canucks were trailing 2-5 but were able to take the game into overtime thanks to a goal by Aatu Ryatu and a double by Pius Zuter, who scored two goals a few seconds apart.
Kiefer Sherwood gave Vancouver the win with an extra time goal.
The win allowed the Canucks (85 points) to keep their playoff chances alive.
The team is six points behind the wildcard spot with four more games to play in the regular season.
“Vancouver” became the first team in the history of the NHL, which managed to win the game, losing with a difference of three pucks in one minute before the end of the main time.
The previous record belonged to the Montreal Canadiens, who in 2014 came back from 1:4 down 3 minutes, 22 seconds before the final siren and defeated the Ottawa Senators in overtime 5:4.
