Erdogan’s party defeated in Turkey’s elections
Erdogan’s ruling party has suffered its biggest defeat in 22 years in Turkey’s local elections.
The opposition “Republican People’s Party” (CHP) wins in all major cities in Turkey.
“Republican People’s Party” won in Ankara, Istanbul, Antalya, Bursa and other great cities.
The Turkish president has already admitted his party’s defeat in the municipal elections.
Recep Tayyip Erdogan said the election results were a “turning point” for his “Justice and Development Party” (AKP), but promised to “respect the nation’s decision.”
