Electric flying motorcycle
The startup Rictor from the USA has presented an original project Skyrider X1.
The vehicle combines the features of a motorcycle, helicopter and amphibian. Details of the original novelty revealed on the website of Rictor.
The new Rictor Skyrider X1 is an electric motorcycle with a closed body.
It is a single-seat, two-wheeled capsule with a large area of glazing and retractable footpeg wheels.
To control the Rictor Skyrider X1, a multi-function joystick has been installed in the cabin.
There is also a large touchscreen display. The payload capacity is 100 kg (220 lbs).
On land, the Rictor Skyrider X1 can go up to 70 km/h (43.5 mph) It is also capable of overcoming water obstacles, because the body is sealed.
The Rictor Skyrider X1 has folding propellers on the roof – it turns into a large quadcopter quite quickly. The flight speed is up to 100 km/h (62 miles per hour)
The Rictor Skyrider X1 electric bike is equipped with an autopilot that controls vertical takeoff and landing.
It is also capable of self-adjusting the flight altitude, depending on weather conditions and terrain.
