Cyberattack on European airports

A cyberattack on an external service provider caused massive disruptions at airports across Europe, Bild reports.

In Berlin, access to systems was completely shut down for security reasons, forcing check-in and boarding to be done manually.

This led to hours of waiting, long queues, delays, and flight cancellations.

In Brussels, authorities warned of significant disruptions and advised passengers to arrive early.

London Heathrow Airport reported a technical failure.

The service provider, whose systems are used in many European air hubs, is trying to restore operations.

Until a solution is found, passengers are advised to check their flight status and prepare for delays.
