They started barking: Chinese zoo caught in scandal when it started passing off dogs as pandas again.
Visitors were promised to be shown rare exotic animals during their visit to the zoo.
But the big hoax was revealed when the “pandas” suddenly started barking. This is reported by The Sun.
Later, representatives of the zoo admitted that they had painted two long-haired chow chows.
Curiously, this is not the first such story in China.
Previously, one of the Chinese zoos also painted the dogs, explaining that it wanted to attract more visitors.
But because of the zoo’s small budget, they could not afford to keep real exotic pandas.
