China’s newest stealth aircraft has been shown for the first time at close range.
Chinese social networks have published the most detailed photo to date of the new-generation Chengdu J-36 tactical airplane.
The War Zone portal drew attention to it. It is reported that the photo was taken at Chengdu Aircraft Corporation’s Chengdu plant.
If this is a real photo and not the work of Artificial Intelligence, it finally removes the question of whether the J-36 has a two-seat layout with crew members side by side.
Judging from the photo, this is apparently indeed the case. Something similar can be seen on the American F-111 and the Russian Su-34.
Among other things in the photo one can see open internal compartments for weapons.
It can be assumed that the central one will contain long-range air-to-surface missiles.
