Charité’s doctor suspected of killing patients

The cardiologist of the world-famous German clinic Charité is suspected of killing patients.

The Berlin prosecutor’s office received an arrest warrant for a 55-year-old doctor. He is suspected of killing two patients with large sedative doses.

According to the prosecutor, the man was fired from the Charité in August 2022. An investigation had already been launched after the Charité advertisement.

“Urgent suspicion, which is an important legal requirement for the issuance of an arrest warrant, can only be accepted now after a medical opinion,” the German prosecutor’s office said.

“Charite took the advice very seriously, immediately fired the suspected specialist and immediately took all other necessary measures to protect potentially affected groups of people,” a spokesman for the Charite clinic said.
