It has been reported that a bottle with a note that had been lying in a lighthouse for over 120 years was found in Australia.
An Australian painter named Brian Berford discovered the old bottle while working at Cape Bruny Lighthouse.
This lighthouse was built in 1838. The ancient bottle had been lying in the wall for more than 120 years.
Inside the bottle was an envelope with two pages of text. The letter described in detail how the lighthouse was renovated in 1903.
The note was signed by J. R. Micham, a lighthouse inspector from Hobart. He was responsible for the construction and maintenance of several famous lighthouses.
It took several days to decipher the text. Now the letter is going to be displayed at an exhibition.
