An elite Russian brigade has lost 80% of its personnel

The elite 155th brigade of the Russian Pacific Fleet has lost 80% of its personnel in the battles for the Ukrainian town of Ugledar.

This calculation was made by journalists of the Russian Service of the BBC.

Soldiers of the 155th Marine Brigade have been trying to capture the town of Ugledar for two years.

The Russian occupants shelled the town every day, turning it into ruins. 

The losses of marines killed and wounded amount to 2400 people. 

The strength of the 155th Brigade is estimated at 3,000 men. Thus, fulfilling the whims of its czar, the unit lost almost 80% of its personnel.

The senseless sacrifices in the brigade were complained about by Russian military analysts.

They published appeals about colossal losses and autocratic commanders sending elite, trained marines to slaughter.

Earlier, it was reported that Russia lost its newest Hunter stealth drone in the skies over Ukraine.

The reasons for the crash of the Russian drone are still unclear. But there is information that the stealth drone was shot down by a Ukrainian fighter jet.
