A US resident “almost became cheese” due to excessive consumption of cheese and butter. About it, writes JAMA Cardiol.
40-year-old resident of Florida for eight months followed a diet based on cheese, butter and fatty meat.
Every day he ate up to 2 pounds of cheese, consumed butter in its pure form and added a lot of fat to his meals.
The man claims that this diet helped him lose weight, increase his energy levels and improve his concentration.
However, he later noticed yellow blisters on his palms, feet and elbows.
Medics discovered that his cholesterol levels had reached 1,000 mg/dL, five times higher than normal.
This caused severe hypercholesterolemia: fats began to be released from his blood vessels, forming lipid deposits on his skin.
