A Chinese amateur diver has been found alive after spending five days and nights in an underwater cave.
According to the South China Morning Post, on July 19, a 40-year-old amateur diver named Wang went missing shortly after diving into a river with his friend.
As it turned out, he swam into an underwater cave and got lost. Fortunately, he managed to find a large air pocket where he could breathe.
A search team dived into the cave, but the initial search was unsuccessful.
During the next dive, when the rescuers were already swimming towards the cave exit, they found Wang.
He saw the divers swim past without noticing him. When they returned, Van swam out of the air pocket and signaled with a flashlight.
After being rescued, he felt fine and walked to the ambulance on his own. The diver survived by eating raw fish.
