A Pennsylvania resident accidentally donated to a charitable organization a jacket that contained a winning lottery ticket for $2.5 million.
This 76-year-old woman, Mildred Simoneriluto told the local TV channel WTAE, ABC reports.
The woman explained that she gave the organization Vietnam Veterans of America not only the jacket, but also other clothes.
The organization sends the items received throughout the U.S. and beyond.
The Cash 5 lottery ticket with winning numbers 14, 22, 33, 35, and 38 expires in one month on May 8.
The Pennsylvania Lottery Company explained that the woman needs to present the ticket to claim her winnings.
“What else can I do? Cry loudly and hope something positive happens,” the woman admitted.
