A Ukrainian nurse saved her unit from encirclement
Svetlana, a nurse of the 128th separate brigade, eliminated a group of Russian occupants with a precise shot from a grenade launcher.
By such actions, she helped to save her unit from encirclement by the Russian army.
This is reported by the press service of the general staff of the AFU.
It is known that when the powerful attack of the Russians by armored vehicles and paratroopers began, Svetlana was at the company stronghold.
At that moment the unit was left without a commander, so Svetlana took command.
She received radio instructions from the commander who was watching the battlefield via video broadcast, he was adjusting the actions of all the fighters in the positions.
A group of Russian storm troopers infiltrated one of the houses from the rear and took control of the evacuation and ammunition supply routes.
Svetlana picked up a disposable grenade launcher and asked the guys to hold on and went to meet the Russian attack aircraft.
“They got too close – they were only two houses away. I went around them, stood up, and fired a shot through the window of the house. The whole group of occupiers stayed there,” recalls heroine Svetlana.
The Ukrainian command from the 128th brigade “Wild Field” presented Svetlana with an award, the Cross of the Army.
