Denis Pushilin was sentenced to 15 years in prison with confiscation of property

The leader of the illegal armed group “DPR” received the maximum sentence on charges brought against him of collaboration and encroachment on the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine.

The prosecutor’s office noted that on February 24, 2022, under the pretext of protecting the “DPR” from the “Kyiv regime,” the Russian army launched a so-called “special operation.” In September 2022.

Pushilin convened and chaired an extraordinary meeting of the DPR council, which adopted the so-called law “on the DPR referendum on the issue of joining the Russian Federation.”

Based on the document he signed, a pseudo-referendum was held in the temporarily occupied territories in the presence of armed Russian military personnel, which became the basis for the quasi-republic to join the Russian Federation.

The leader of the unrecognized republic, like his comrades in the territories occupied by Russia, must remember that the same fate awaits him as Zakharchenko, Givi, Stremousov, Tatarsky.
