A UFO or just a Martian rock?
A recent image taken by NASA’s Mars rover has sparked a wave of controversy on social media.
The published photos show a cylindrical object that appears to cast a shadow on the surface of Mars. About it writes Mail.Online.
Users immediately compared it to a UFO, which in 2004 was observed by U.S. Navy pilots over the Pacific Ocean.
One of the military, David Favor, then described it as a perfectly white, smooth object moving at an abnormal speed.
Some commentators are convinced that this is genuine evidence of an alien presence on Mars.
Ancient technology researcher Jason Martell even checked the image through an AI detector and said it was not a fake.
“Conclusive proof that NASA videotaped a ‘Tic Tac’ dragee on Mars,” the researcher reported.
However, not everyone agrees with this version. Skeptics argue that this is just an unusual rock.
“It’s just a shadow play. If you look closely, you can see that it is part of a larger rock,” wrote one user.
If NASA is able to take new photos of this place, it will become clear whether the object is really a UFO or is just another example of optical illusion.
Video. November 2004. US Navy Lt. Cmdr. Alex Dietrich was on board and was the first to spot the ‘Tic Tac UFO.’
Earlier it was reported that a new analysis of data on the seismic activity of Mars, collected by a NASA probe, showed that under the surface of the planet may be “pockets” with liquid water, in which potentially could have arisen life.
