This is what a secret military bunker in Switzerland’s Alps Mountains looks like.
At first glance, it’s just a mountain. But inside it is a real outpost, hidden from view.
During World War II, in anticipation of a German invasion, Switzerland built hundreds of such facilities disguised as natural elements.
The entrances to the bunkers are hidden in the rocks, and the complexes themselves are equipped with everything necessary for long-term living and defense.
Some tunnels stretch for kilometers, connecting military headquarters, ammunition depots and living areas.
One such bunker contained a secret railroad capable of transporting tanks.
