In the US, in the state of Massachusetts, a robot dog nicknamed Roscoe while helping to neutralize criminals received three bullets from a firearm.
The robot dog Roscoe took part in a special operation to apprehend an armed criminal who was hiding in an apartment building.
He was the first to move forward to meet the offender, opening the front door and received three bullets.
As it did so, the robot transmitted video camera images to the police officers in charge.
“When the suspect realized with apparent surprise that the robot was standing on the stairs, he knocked it down and then pointed the rifle in Roscoe’s direction,” law enforcement officials reported.
Police officers were reportedly able to apprehend the perpetrator by firing tear gas.
