It became known that in some areas of Los Angeles, local authorities will impose a curfew.
It is reported that the mayor of Los Angeles and the head of the local police, Jim McDonnell, announced the introduction of curfew.
It will be introduced in some areas of the city center amid protests against immigration raids, the BBC reports.
The curfew will be in effect from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. and will last for several days, Bass said.
The mayor said the city suffered significant damage, but the curfew is only in a one-square-mile area.
Residents in those areas and accredited media personnel will not be affected, he added.
The LAPD chief said the curfew is a necessary measure “to save lives and protect property” after days of unrest.
He also said 27 people were arrested on Saturday, 40 on Sunday, 114 on Monday, and 197 on Tuesday.
